I love your ideas, David, and I think Dave and I should do another interview, maybe early next year, where we do exactly that. Thanks so much for your support 🤗

Thanx 4 the great wriites and recordingzNext year.looking 4ward!

In the meantime you could edit the long interview (like pro moviemakers), cut it up into like 10to20 short bite-size (or pecksize birdy)bits, each with a punchline and great sample of Davesmusic and post them alongside the long interview.that way listeners can chooze which to listen to short long or mix.

I wish I'd been the loerie on the windowsill for the conversation, but at least I found the right moment to listen to it in one go on headphones.

You two are clever, but possess the rare quality of reflection.

You made me feel nostalgic in several directions, from the love of music and words to trying to find my place. The latter most of all. An alternative life is challenging, but I could never imagine working in a bank (except for the one day I did), or for the government (except the three days I did).

Regards your post before this, Knysna was the first time I felt home. The first roof over my head was on the edge of the town's central nature reserve. That's where I met your cheese-eating drongos. That burnt down along with two other places I stayed, but drongos can live without cheese, and without us.

Mike, your comments always make my day. Thank you for listening, and for sharing your thoughts. I'm feeling an odd nostalgia on your behalf, and sorrow about your home that burnt down. I hope one day you'll return, at least for a visit. The drongos, self-sufficient as they are, would still be happier for it.

Several years ago, I returned to testify against Victor's assassin. That obviously doesn't fully count, but I did have breakfast in Buffalo Bay, lunch on Thesen, and dinner at Belvidere. Maybe next time I get to hear a band in Wilderness. That would be lovely! I dream.
