You got me to listen to 'The Donkey' which led to Blindboy's live show about Irish birdsongs. I'm thinking of that before I've clicked play so I'm going to make this my final substack attention for one month, rip this and the sequel, and listen to them when I'm mindful, probably at 3am, so that I can walk into dawn when only the crows and thrushes are up in the suburbs. PS: I saw a Knysna Loerie yesterday. Been a while since I'd seen one, and it was big.
Niiice musings! looking forward to learn more of all those wonderful birds in your neck of the wilderniss both the feathery ones and drifters migrating thru surely they all have fab stories oh weaver bird please weave them all with urs into 1 big nest for us. Is that asking too much

Lovely to meeting you via your podcast ...really enjoyed your introduction. I am in Somerset West ...and also enjoy connecting with South Africans and their perspective of their world.
Very interesting questions re the Cuckoo ...amazing what is contained in genetics.

Pigeons in train stations are called 'Waiting Room Angels'.
They flutter and coo and keep the humans company, for only a few crumbs in return!
